Vela's Tap is one of Joliet's oldest Mexican restaurants / lounges, offering authentic Mexican cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere.

Vela's Tap offers a variety of Mexican dishes including stuffed peppers, salads, carne asada, tacos, tamales, tostadas, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, chiles rellenos, seafood and much more!

Owner Dan Gutierrez was born and raised in Joliet and has been a lifetime resident of Will County.
Dan is carrying on the tradition of supplying quality Mexican food to the community that his father started in 1953 when he opened "Centenario", Joliet's first Mexican food mart.


Vela's Tap offers dine-in or carryout service for lunch and dinner.
